Davie will invest $1.5 million over five years to support Naval Québec and strengthen Québec’s shipbuilding supply chain.
The initiative centers on creating the Québec Naval Supply Chain Academy. It is the first program in Canada fully dedicated to developing companies in the shipbuilding supply chain.
The Academy will help local businesses enter or expand in shipbuilding and repair. It will provide practical training and support to meet technical and regulatory requirements.
The investment supports Canada’s National Shipbuilding Strategy. It aims to boost skills, improve market access, and reduce barriers for Québec companies.
Funding will also support training programs at Naval Québec’s annual events. These events connect companies with contractors, partners, and industry experts.
By combining training with industry events, the initiative strengthens collaboration and long-term growth across Québec’s maritime sector.
