In addition, Maersk has announced it is extending its peak season surcharge (PSS) for all dry cargo from Ukraine to Asia effective from 1 May 2020 to 15 May 2020.

Moreover, considering the current high demand for reefer equipment to Asia, CMA CGM has decided to implement an empty equipment imbalance surcharge applicable as follows:

  • Origin: Le Havre & Montoir, France
  • Destination: North East Asia, South East Asia, China and Hong Kong & Macau SAR
  • Cargo: Reefer
  • Amount: US$1,000 per reefer unit
  • Date of application: 1 May 2020 (loading date)
