SANY ships equipment for first Latin American wind project

SANY Renewable Energy has shipped the core equipment for its first wind power project in Latin America.

The equipment will support the 18 MW Purranque wind project in Chile. SANY is providing the project’s equipment supply, transportation and installation services.

The shipment departed from the Port of Tianjin. SANY said it coordinated multimodal transport and local customs clearance to ensure timely delivery.

Chile aims to generate 70% of its electricity from renewable sources by 2030. SANY said it adapted the project’s technical solution to local geographical and climate conditions to improve operational reliability.

The project marks another step in the company’s international expansion. Since 2022, SANY has established subsidiaries and local teams across Europe, South Asia, Central Asia and Africa.

The group now operates 17 manufacturing bases outside China, more than 900 service sites and around 1,000 spare parts warehouses worldwide.

SANY said its global capabilities span research and development, manufacturing, testing and project delivery. The company also highlighted recent deliveries of large mining excavators to international customers as part of its overseas growth strategy.
