Santos Port Authority has awarded a US$105 million contract to Jan De Nul do Brasil to deepen the Port of Santos’ navigation channel from 15 metres to 16 metres.

Rock removal works are scheduled to take place between July and October 2026, after which dredging operations will begin.

The project is expected to allow vessels to use the increased draught by the end of 2026 or early 2027, enabling the port to accommodate larger and more heavily loaded ships.
