ONE sponsors scholarships and internships to nurture maritime talent

Ocean Network Express (ONE) and the Singapore Maritime Foundation (SMF) have entered into a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) aimed at developing a talent pool for the maritime sector.

ONE will fund a minimum of two MaritimeONE scholarships and two MaritimeONE internships annually, strengthening its partnership with SMF.

The management and promotion of these scholarships and internships will be handled by SMF, with both organizations collaborating on candidate selection.

Additional collaborations between ONE and SMF include arranging company tours for students under the MaritimeONE Company Connect, participation as a keynote speaker at the annual Maritime Youth Forum, involvement with a company booth at the event, and backing the MaritimeONE VIP Pass in 2024, where winners experienced a unique visit aboard a distinctive magenta ONE vessel and dined with the CEO.

Tan Beng Tee, Executive Director of the Singapore Maritime Foundation stated that this agreement is especially significant in an era of technological advancement and sustainable shipping, which demand new skills from our workforce.
