MSC is restructuring its intra-Far East network by discontinuing the Bayan Ko service and revising several regional loops.

MSC is restructuring its intra-Far East network by discontinuing the Bayan Ko service and revising several regional loops to maintain broad coverage across East and Southeast Asia, according to Alphaliner.

The carrier will withdraw the Bayan Ko service, which currently links the Pearl River Delta with Vietnam and the Philippines, while introducing revised rotations across its remaining services.

The updated network includes:

  • Saola (4 × 2,500 TEU): Shanghai – Ningbo – Hai Phong – Ho Chi Minh – Da Nang – Manila – Davao – Shanghai.
  • Firehorse (4 × 2,500 TEU): Shanghai – Ningbo – Shenzhen (Shekou) – Singapore – Surabaya – Semarang – Singapore – Shanghai.
  • Pertiwi (4 × 4,500 TEU): Dalian – Tianjin – Qingdao – Shenzhen (Shekou) – Singapore – Jakarta – Panjang – Jakarta – Singapore – Nansha – Hong Kong – Kaohsiung – Busan – Dalian.
  • Thai (1 × 2,800 TEU): Singapore – Laem Chabang – Singapore.
  • Bungaraya: Shanghai – Ningbo – Nansha – Port Kelang – Penang – Kuala Tanjung – Singapore – Shanghai.
  • Malacca Express: Singapore – Belawan – Singapore.
  • Sambar (4 × 4,500 TEU): Dalian – Inchon – Tianjin – Qingdao – Xiamen – Dong Nai – Laem Chabang – Singapore – Penang – Pasir Gudang – Tanjung Pelepas – Singapore – Dong Nai – Busan – Dalian.

According to Alphaliner, the changes are designed to optimize MSC’s regional operations while maintaining overall coverage across key ports in China, Southeast Asia and the Philippines.
