Maersk has announced revised Intermodal Fuel Fee levels for truck transportation in Bosnia and Herzegovina, Montenegro, Croatia, Serbia and Slovenia.
The updated Export Fuel Surcharge and Import Fuel Surcharge levels will apply from 1 October 2026, based on the delivery date, and remain in force until further notice.
The revised charges are:
| Country | Truck surcharge |
|---|---|
| Bosnia and Herzegovina | 14% |
| Montenegro | 10% |
| Croatia | 10% |
| Serbia | 14.5% |
| Slovenia | 10% |
Maersk attributed the temporary adjustments to rising global energy prices and the impact of the Middle East security situation on fuel availability and inland transportation costs.
According to the Danish carrier, the revised fees are intended to maintain service continuity, protect cargo flows and secure sufficient vendor capacity across its landside network.
