Maersk proceeds with integration strategy; US freight forwarder unifying with the brand

Danish shipping company Maersk continues its integration process with the US freight forwarder American Linehaul being the last firm unifying with the Maersk brand.

“We have made considerable progress in integrating American Linehaul’s capabilities into our transportation services offering,” said Maersk adding that the unifying of the companies’ websites, documentation, platforms, and facilities is expected to commence in the coming weeks.

During the brand transition process, the americanlc.com website will transfer to https://linehaul.maersk.com and documents will become Maersk branded over the coming months, but there will be no alterations in the content or shipments handling.

Is integration strategy one-way street for container carriers?

Uniting brands offers a consistent and simplified experience, as customers will be able to access our diversified and extended offering under a single brand identity,” pointed out Maersk in a statement.

“Through this we aim to unify our structure to better reflect the reality of our customers’ supply chain challenges, giving customers more multimodality options and connectivity, all under one roof,” concluded the ocean carrier.
