Maersk keeps Felixstowe Emergency Fuel Surcharge unchanged

Maersk containers in new style

Maersk has announced that the Emergency Fuel Surcharge (EFS) at the Port of Felixstowe in the United Kingdom will remain unchanged in September.

The surcharge will remain at £3.82 per laden import container, effective from 1 September 2026.

According to Maersk, the decision follows an advisory update issued by Hutchison Ports’ Port of Felixstowe on 14 August.

The EFS level will be reviewed again on 15 September 2026 to determine the applicable rate for October.
