Maersk announces winter schedule adjustments for Canada Express service

Maersk has announced changes to its ASAS2 service connecting Far East Asia with the East Coast of Latin America.

To manage the impact of harsh North Atlantic winter weather, Maersk has announced a planned winter blanking programme for its Canada Express service.

The programme is designed to maintain schedule reliability during a period that traditionally brings severe storms and delays across the route. Under the plan, the service will slide every fifth week between Christmas and the end of March, beginning with voyage 552W from Antwerp.

Maersk said the adjustment is a proactive step to protect service reliability and vessel safety during winter conditions, while minimising disruption to customers.

The company added that it will keep customers informed of specific sailing details and alternative options to ensure supply chain continuity during the temporary schedule changes.
