KEZAD Group has signed a long-term land lease agreement with Abu Dhabi Refreshment Company for the development of a beverage production and distribution facility within KEZAD’s industrial ecosystem.
The facility will span approximately 32,500 square metres and represents an investment of approximately AE$ 300 million, supporting the expansion of Abu Dhabi Refreshment Company’s production and distribution capabilities across the UAE and wider region.
The facility will benefit from direct access to Khalifa Port and KEZAD’s multimodal logistics networks, enabling efficient import of raw materials and export of finished products.
The investment is expected to create employment opportunities and strengthen local beverage production capacity while contributing to more resilient downstream supply chains for fast-moving consumer goods.
Abdullah Al Hameli, CEO of Economic Cities and Free Zones at AD Ports Group, described the agreement as a reflection of KEZAD’s ability to attract globally recognised brands seeking scale, efficiency and proximity to high-growth markets, framing it as a contribution to Abu Dhabi’s industrial diversification agenda.
Fadi Jaber, General Manager of Abu Dhabi Refreshment Company, described the investment as a strategic expansion of operations in a market the company has served for decades, citing KEZAD’s integrated infrastructure and connectivity as enablers of more efficient production and distribution.
The agreement reflects a broader shift in industrial strategy toward localised production closer to consumption markets.
Since the launch of the Abu Dhabi Industrial Strategy, industrial GDP in the emirate has grown significantly, supported by the UAE’s non-oil foreign trade reaching AE$ 3.8 trillion in 2025.
