Increased surcharges due to Yemen’s war condition

As a result of increasing costs in offering service into Aden, Hapag-Lloyd will increase the War Risk Surcharge from $450/TEU to $500/TEU with the following effective dates:

  • From USA, US territories & Canada: October 15, 2018*
  • From all other Origins: September 22, 2018

*Note: Hapag-Lloyd is currently not accepting shipments originating from Canada, USA and other US territories destined to Yemen.
