Hapag-Lloyd unveils new surcharges from Europe and Turkey

Hapag-Lloyd will apply a Peak Season Surcharge (PSS) for all container types on the trade from North Europe, the Mediterranean and Black Sea to Oceania. Effective for sailings as of 1 April 2020 and valid until further notice the PSS will be as follows:

  • US$ 150 / 300 per 20’/40’ Container
  • US$ 400 / 400 per 20’/40’ Reefer Container

The German top shipping carrier will also apply a PSS for all container types from Turkey to African destinations (excl. Nigeria)

Effective 16 March 2020 until further notice for all Turkey origins the PSS will be as follows:
