Hapag-Lloyd implements LNG tank on 23,000 TEU newbuilding

Hapag-Lloyd has announced that the new liquefied natural gas (LNG) tank of its 23,600 TEU container vessel Berlin Express was installed.

The German ocean carrier said the vessel is the first of twelve new buildings with 23,600 TEU box capacity and dual-fuel propulsion.

The ship was successfully delivered to the Hamburg-based company on June 14.
