Hai An Transport and Stevedoring Joint Stock Company has joined the FTSE Global Micro Cap Index through its HAH stock.

FTSE Russell announced the results of its semi-annual review of the FTSE Global Equity Index Series for the Asia-Pacific region, excluding Japan and China, on 21 August 2026.

According to the new constituent list, FTSE Russell added 90 Vietnamese stocks to the FTSE Global Micro Cap Index. These include companies operating across infrastructure, industrials, energy, financial services, retail and consumer goods.

Hai An expands shipping and logistics operations

The FTSE Global Micro Cap Index forms part of the FTSE Global Equity Index Series. The series covers approximately 99% of the global investable market capitalisation.

Hai An said its inclusion marks an important step in its international market integration. The company continues to invest in its container fleet, shipping network, ports and logistics infrastructure.

Hai An currently manages and operates 20 container vessels. Together, they offer approximately 33,000 TEUs of capacity and place the company among the world’s 100 largest container fleets.

The Vietnamese company has also developed an integrated logistics network covering container shipping, port operations, cargo transport and logistics services.

Changes take effect in September

The September 2026 review also added 27 Vietnamese stocks to the FTSE Global All Cap Index. Six of these companies will join the FTSE All-World Index.

The index changes will take effect on 21 September 2026. The implementation will coincide with FTSE Russell’s reclassification of Vietnam from a Frontier Market to a Secondary Emerging Market.

Hai An said it would continue developing its fleet and expanding its shipping network. The company also plans to strengthen its port and logistics capabilities while improving Vietnam’s connections with regional and global trade hubs.
