Globe Tracker appoints new CEO

Danish solution provider for supply chain visibility Globe Tracker International ApS announced the appointment of Joel undir Leitinum as the company’s chief executive officer (CEO).

Rich Meyers, who served as CEO of the company during the last 18 months, will return to his prior role as chief operating and strategy officer (COSO).

Joel undir Leitinum’s hiring coincides with a US$15 million funding round and debt restructuring to enable future development and expansion into new markets.

New CEO has been a member of the Globe Tracker Board of Directors for four years and has an extensive understanding of the firm and the market. For the past two years, he has also served as chairman of the Board.

Joel undir Leitinum has been the director and postmaster General of Posta, the Faroese Postal Service, for the past 12 years, transforming it from a postal firm to a full-service logistics corporation in the North Atlantic.

Furthermore, he has a master’s degree in economics from CBS in Copenhagen, Denmark, and has previously worked as a director and executive in logistics and corporate finance.

He is a board member and co-founder of Nemlia, a pioneer in senior well-being technology known as “elder tech,” which serves senior markets in Denmark, Germany, France, and the North Atlantic. His background is in service automation, efficiency, and logistics market distortion.

“I am very excited to take Globe Tracker further onwards and upwards to the next level. Globe Tracker has the most advanced technology within telematics and tracking technology and has the best team in the market. I look forward to working with Rich and the team to continue down our path of stellar growth over the past 5 years,” stated Joel undir Leitinum, CEO of Globe Tracker.
