FedEx and ServiceNow have expanded their strategic collaboration to develop new AI-powered supply chain and procurement solutions aimed at improving visibility, workflow automation, and disruption management across global logistics networks.
Announced during ServiceNow’s Knowledge 2026 event in Las Vegas, the partnership integrates logistics intelligence from FedEx Dataworks directly into ServiceNow’s Source-to-Pay (S2P) and supply chain management workflows.
AI-driven supply chain intelligence
The collaboration combines ServiceNow’s AI workflow platform with operational data generated by FedEx’s global transportation network, which processes more than two petabytes of data daily.
According to the companies, the goal is to help enterprises move beyond simply tracking shipments toward predictive and automated decision-making during supply chain disruptions.
Bill McDermott, Chairman and CEO of ServiceNow, said:
“Supply chain transformation is the only way forward.”
FedEx President and CEO Raj Subramaniam added that the partnership aims to make supply chains “smarter for everyone” by combining network intelligence with AI-driven workflow automation.
New procurement and supply chain capabilities
The first phase of the collaboration focuses on intelligent procurement workflows through an enhanced Source-to-Pay solution suite.
The new capabilities include:
- Supplier Insights: Procurement teams can access operational intelligence from FedEx network data to support supplier lifecycle management.
- Supplier Visibility: Automated supplier assessments during onboarding using FedEx Dataworks intelligence integrated into ServiceNow workflows.
- Success Indicators: Ongoing supplier performance insights using ServiceNow data and anonymized FedEx industry benchmarks.
The companies said these tools are designed to help businesses identify potential supply chain risks earlier and respond more proactively to disruptions.
Focus on automation and resilience
The expanded partnership reflects growing industry demand for AI-enabled supply chain resilience as companies face increasing geopolitical uncertainty, logistics complexity, and cost pressures.
Rather than requiring users to switch between multiple systems, the integrated platform surfaces logistics insights directly inside existing procurement workflows, enabling faster operational decisions.
FedEx and ServiceNow said they also plan to explore additional innovations focused on intelligent supply chain management and enterprise automation.
