Everllence has published its 2024 Sustainability Report, showcasing substantial progress in its environmental commitments.
Among the report’s key achievements is a 63% reduction in CO₂ emissions from the company’s global production sites compared to 2018 levels. The report centers on Everllence’s revised sustainability strategy, structured around three core pillars:
- “Decarbonization is our Business”, which highlights the company’s portfolio of solutions designed to help customers reduce emissions in high-intensity sectors such as shipping, energy, and heavy industry.
- “Nature”, which focuses on sustainable resource use, emission mitigation at production facilities, and biodiversity protection.
- “People and Society”, which encompasses efforts to promote diversity, ensure safe and fair working conditions, and enhance the company’s social responsibility footprint.
This updated strategy is grounded in a double materiality analysis, integrating external stakeholder input and expanded data sets to promote transparency and accountability.
Dr. Uwe Lauber, CEO of Everllence commented that decarbonizing the global economy is their core mission.
Everllence aims for at least 50% of its revenue to come from green technologies by 2030. In 2024, 15% of incoming orders were already linked to such solutions.
A flagship example is the large-scale heat pump in Esbjerg, Denmark, now operational and replacing a coal-fired power plant. The system supplies 25,000 households with climate-neutral district heating, cutting 120,000 tons of CO₂ emissions annually.
Dr. Johanna Rauchenberger, Vice President of Quality, HSE, Sustainability & Product Safety, nited that a container ship using LNG instead of conventional fuel can cut its climate emissions by up to 30%. With ammonia, emissions can be eliminated entirely.
The company has also exceeded its interim targets in reducing CO₂ emissions from its own manufacturing processes.
