Ernst Russ Group acquires feedermax boxship

The Ernst Russ Group, an internationally operating ship owner and maritime investment manager based in Hamburg, recently bought a container ship with a capacity of 2,194 TEUs.

The 2017-built vessel will sail under the name Frida Russ, was built in Guangzhou, China, and is still chartered out for a remaining period of up to 20 months with an option right for a further three months at market levels.

The parties of the agreement have decided not to disclose further information about the transaction.

After this vessel acquisition, Ernst Russ Group is expanding its fleet to 31 ships.
