DP World opens new technology centre in India

DP World has announced the opening of a new technology centre in Bangalore, India. This is the second technology centre to be opened by DP World this year, following Hyderabad, India in May, while a third, at Gurugram, India is set to open in the coming months.

DP World said that its vision is to build technologically advanced integrated services to help trade flow.

DP World has enhanced its presence in the Indian technology market to match its ambitions in the digital trade sphere. At the beginning of 2021, the company had just 50 employees in the country. This number has grown to more than 450 with the opening of the first two offices and the employee headcount is expected to reach as many as 800 by the middle of 2023.

The office was inaugurated by Mike Bhaskaran, DP World’s chief operating officer of digital technology, and Pradeep Desai, the company’s chief technology officer.
