DHL extends FIA World Endurance Championship logistics partnership

DHL and the FIA World Endurance Championship (FIA WEC) have extended their global logistics partnership through a new multi-year agreement.

The deal reinforces DHL’s role as the championship’s Official Logistics Partner and expands the collaboration to include the Asian Le Mans Series for the first time.

The partnership began in 2012 and covers the FIA WEC and the iconic 24 Hours of Le Mans.

DHL manages the transportation of race cars, spare parts, garage equipment, broadcast infrastructure and alternative fuels across the championship calendar.

The FIA WEC continues to grow, driven by the Hypercar category and the increasing participation of major automotive manufacturers.

The series includes brands such as Ferrari, Porsche, Toyota, BMW, Cadillac, Aston Martin, Peugeot, Ford, McLaren and Mercedes.

During a typical season, DHL handles logistics for 36 race cars across multiple continents.

The company transports around 120 containers, coordinates up to seven dedicated aircraft charters on intercontinental routes and manages the movement of thousands of race tyres.

DHL uses a combination of air and ocean freight services to improve efficiency and reduce emissions.

The company also supports alternative fuels, biofuel-powered trucks and sustainable marine transport solutions.

Both partners said sustainability remains a key focus of the collaboration.

As part of the agreement, DHL will continue supporting the DHL Sustainable Endurance Award, which recognizes FIA WEC teams for achievements in environmental management, innovation and social responsibility.

The extended partnership reflects DHL’s growing presence in motorsport logistics and its commitment to supporting global sporting events with efficient and sustainable supply chain solutions.
