DACHSER enhances innovative rolling container for store deliveries

DACHSER has enhanced its innovative rolling container, the Retail Box, originally designed for transporting both hanging and flat garments to retailers.

This container ensures that clothing arrives at retail stores without wrinkles or creases, marking a significant achievement in fashion logistics.

Initially launched about five years ago, the Retail Box has now been improved and is available in two sizes: classic and small. While the Retail Box classic has the dimensions of a euro pallet and a height of 1.9 meters, the newly developed Retail Box small has the same height but is otherwise more compact, with a length of 80 centimeters and width of 60 centimeters.

These updates facilitate easier transportation on truck beds alongside palleted goods, and the containers are straightforward for drivers to maneuver into fashion shops.

The redesign includes features for simplified assembly and storage, allowing the containers to be compactly folded when not in use, saving valuable space in shipping warehouses or shops.

Made entirely of metal for enhanced durability and safety, the updated “rolling closet” now includes options for sealing or locking, providing additional security against unauthorized access.

While DACHSER initially developed the Retail Box for the fashion industry, it has recognized its potential utility in other sectors such as cosmetics and electronics, particularly for deliveries in urban shopping areas where space and accessibility are challenges. However, there are currently no plans to extend its use to food transport.

DACHSER Fashion Logistics now offers another innovative transport solution, the ProFashional Box, which was specially designed for the global shipping of hanging and flat goods in air freight.
