COSCO SHIPPING Ports announced its operations and financial results for the first half of the year, in which the company achieved a slight 0.8% increase in total throughput, reporting 63,210,330 TEU.
For the same period, COSCO SHIPPING Ports’ revenue increased 24.7% compared to the same period last year, reaching US$704.6 million and its gross profit increased by 33.3% year-on-year (yoy) to US$197.7 million.
Although the share of profits from joint ventures and associates in the first six months of 2022 decreased 8.5% yoy to US$160.2 million, the company’s profit attributable to equity holders rose 0.8% to US$177 million.
The global port operator said it will continue to exploit strategic growth opportunities to increase revenue per TEU, continue to strengthen sales and marketing, actively grow volume and introduce new routes from various shipping companies to continuously increase revenue.
