Congo container terminal orders 11 Konecranes lift trucks and mobile harbor crane

Konecranes has secured an order for 11 lift trucks and one mobile harbor crane for a container terminal in the Republic of the Congo.

The order was booked in the first quarter of 2026, with deliveries scheduled for the second half of the year.

The package includes five Konecranes Liftace 4532 TCE5 reach stackers, six Liftace E 6/7 ECC9 empty container handlers and one Konecranes Gottwald ESP.7 mobile harbor crane.

The terminal, located on the Republic of the Congo’s west coast, is expanding operations to support growing container volumes across Central Africa.

Konecranes said the new reach stackers will improve container handling efficiency in the yard, while the empty container handlers will strengthen stacking and repositioning operations.

The Konecranes Gottwald ESP.7 mobile harbor crane will support container and general cargo handling at the quay.

The crane offers lifting capacity of up to 125 tons and outreach of up to 51 meters, allowing it to serve vessels up to post-Panamax size.

Local distributor Paterson Simons will provide delivery, commissioning and lifecycle support for the equipment.

“Our long-standing cooperation with the terminal group, together with Paterson Simons’ local presence, creates the conditions for smooth commissioning and dependable lifecycle support,” said Patrik Lundbäck, VP Sales & Distribution, Lift Trucks at Konecranes.

All 11 lift trucks and the mobile harbor crane will also feature TRUCONNECT Premium Remote Monitoring for real-time operational monitoring and preventive maintenance support.
