
Cochin Shipyard Limited has signed an agreement to acquire a 5% stake in Maritech Integrated Maritime Private Limited under its USHUS startup programme.
The investment supports India’s push for innovation and digitalisation in the maritime sector.
CSL said the USHUS programme aligns with the Indian government’s vision to promote entrepreneurship, indigenisation and technology-driven maritime startups.
The shipbuilder has allocated a total fund of ₹50 crore to support maritime startups through the programme.
CSL is also working with IIMK LIVE and IIT Madras for the implementation of the initiative.
Maritech Integrated Maritime is a Dehradun-based deep-tech startup.
The company has developed the Integrated Maritime Exchange (IME), a digital platform designed to connect maritime stakeholders and streamline logistics and port-related services.
CSL said the platform has the potential to improve operational efficiency, transparency and collaboration across India’s maritime supply chain.
The company added that the investment reflects its commitment to accelerating digital transformation in the maritime industry.
