CMA CGM introduces PSS from the Med to North America

CMA CGM, the French carrier, has announced a Peak Season Surcharge (PSS02) effective from 15 September 2024 (gate-in date for the US, loading date for Canada and Mexico), until further notice.

This surcharge applies to all types of cargo. It will affect shipments originating from all Mediterranean ports, including Malta, France (Fos/Marseille), Italy, Spain (Algeciras, Valencia, Barcelona, Sagunto, Vigo), the Adriatic, Black Sea, North Africa, Cyprus, Greece, Türkiye, Lebanon, Portugal, and Morocco (excluding Egypt).

The surcharge applies to cargo destined for the US East Coast, US Gulf, Mexico East Coast, Canada East Coast, and all inland destinations accessible via these ports. The charges are set at US$350 per 20′ container and US$700 per 40′ and 45′ containers.
