CMA CGM enhances Medcaribe service

French ocean carrier CMA CGM decided to enhance its Medcaribe service with the deployment of a ninth container vessel into the service’s fleet.

This addition is expected to enhance CMA CGM’s operational agility, ensuring smoother voyages amidst potential challenges such as port congestion and adverse weather conditions.

Set to be gradually introduced in Ecuador by the end of March, this new vessel will significantly enhance the reliability of the service, according to the company.

CMA CGM will also introduce a westbound call at Tanger port from 5 March 2024. This addition to the rotation is aimed at optimising the carrier’s outreach and further facilitating seamless connections for its customers.

The updated port rotation will be as follows:

Algeciras, Spain > Malta > Livorno, Italy > Genoa, Italy > Marseille, France > Barcelona, Spain > Valencia, Spain > Tanger Med, Morocco > Fort de France, Martinique > Pointe à Pitre, Guadeloupe > Caucedo, Dominican Republic > Kingston, Jamaica > Cartagena, Colombia > Buenaventura, Colombia > Paita, Peru > Posorja, Ecuador > Guayaquil, Ecuador > Moin, Costa Rica > Cartagena, Costa Rica
