CMA CGM announces new FAK rates from Asia to Med and North Europe

The French carrier, CMA CGM implemented new Freight All Kinds (FAK) rates as follows from 15 January 2024 (date of loading in the origin ports) until further notice:

These new FAK rates will be implemented in the following manner. The origin is from all major Asian ports to all Mediterranean base ports (as previously specified). The new freight rates will apply to Dry, OOG, Reefer, and Paying Empties cargo, with an effective date of 15 January 2024 (day of loading at origin ports) until further notice.

Furthermore, CMA CGM announced additional FAK rates effective from 15 January 2024 (loading date) until further notice:

20’GP 40’GP/40’HC/40’REEFER
Asia to North Europe US$3,200 US$6,000

 

According to the firm’s statement, these FAK rates apply base port-to-base port rates. Out-ports are subject to the usual TAO/TAD.

These new FAK rates will be applied as follows. The origin ranges from all major Asian ports (including Japan, South East Asia, and Bangladesh) to all major North European ports (including the United Kingdom and the entire region from Portugal to Finland/Estonia). The new FAK rates will apply to Dry, OOG, Reefer, and Paying Empties cargo, with an effective date of 15 January 2024 (day of loading at origin ports) until further notice.
