CEVA Logistics accelerates growth with integration of Bolloré Logistics

CMA CGM’s subsidiary CEVA Logistics announced a new organizational structure designed to enhance customer access to its comprehensive global logistics services.

This includes capabilities across air, ocean, ground, and rail transport, as well as contract logistics, finished vehicle logistics, project logistics, and customs solutions.

Following the recent acquisition of Bolloré Logistics by CMA CGM Group on 29 February 2024, CEVA Logistics will integrate Bolloré into its new product-focused organizational model. CEVA aims to consolidate under a single brand, CEVA Logistics, completing the rebranding by the end of 2024.

According to the statement, CEVA generated pro forma 2023 revenue of US$20.2 billion through transporting 1.9 million TEUs of ocean freight, 800,000 tons of air freight and managing 11.7 million square meters of warehouse space.

This restructuring aims to strengthen CEVA’s global service consistency and operational efficiency by aligning product teams vertically down to local levels. This approach is expected to accelerate product development and the implementation of innovative solutions worldwide.

CEVA is also merging its Air and Ocean operations to leverage synergies and maximize technology investments, including finalizing the implementation of CargoWise.

Furthermore, since its acquisition by CMA CGM Group in 2019, CEVA Logistics has significantly expanded its capabilities and geographic presence through strategic acquisitions. These include enhancing its network across Africa, bolstering e-commerce solutions with Ingram Micro’s CLS division, strengthening European overland networks with GEFCO, and now expanding air and ocean freight capabilities with Bolloré Logistics. Other targeted acquisitions have extended CEVA’s footprint in perishables transport in Latin America (Cargex) and small parcel last-mile delivery in France (Colis Privé).

“Our teams have been working toward this moment for many years, and I’m so proud of where we are as a company. CEVA Logistics is moving to a vertical, product-driven organization that will benefit our team and our customers as we compete among the Top 5 of the logistics industry. The vision we put in place for CEVA with the support of the CMA CGM Group is taking its final form. Our ability to innovate and collaborate with our customers to improve their global supply chains through truly end-to-end solutions is unmatched in some market segments,” stated Mathieu Friedberg, CEO of CEVA Logistics.
