Kalmar has concluded a deal to supply Brazilian integrated logistics operator Bandeirantes Deicmar LogĂstica Integrada with five Kalmar Gloria reachstackers.
Gloria Reachstacker’s are built on the Kalmar G-Generation platform, which aims to make maintenance easier and provides a comfortable, ergonomic working environment for operators.
The machine features a cabin with a panoramic view, intuitive interfaces, proactive monitoring and a comfortable seat designed for long shifts and demanding operations, while the units supplied to Bandeirantes Deicmar will have a lifting capacity of 45 tonnes and be capable of stacking containers six high.
The order was booked in 2021 second quarter’s order intake of Kalmar’s parent-company, Cargotec with delivery scheduled for the third quarter of the year.
Bandeirantes Deicmar LogĂstica Integrada was created when Bandeirantes and Deicmar, two companies in the Port of Santos, joined forces in 2018 to become stronger and focused on offering their customers an extensive range of services.
“We made the decision to invest in Kalmar reachstackers because of their reputation for high build quality and excellent reliability. With their ability to stack cargo containers six high, these machines will help us to make better use of the valuable space at our terminals,” commented Washington Flores Junior, director-president at Bandeirantes Deicmar.
