Carrix integrates Ceres Terminals into SSA Marine brand

Carrix, a major terminal operator in United States and Americas, has officially revealed the rebranding of Ceres Terminals as SSA Marine.

"Adding Ceres’ extensive operations and tremendous employees to the SSA Marine family brings new efficiencies to bear for our marine terminal operations in North America," stated Uffe Ostergaard, CEO of Carrix, mother company of SSA Marine.

This announcement comes in the wake of Carrix's successful acquisition of Ceres Terminals in September 2023. The acquisition and the integration of Ceres into SSA Marine is expected to broaden SSA Marine's global presence and enhance its capacity to deliver high-level marine terminal operations and stevedoring services to a diverse range of customers, including those in container, breakbulk, cruise line, and auto industries across North America.

With the integration underway, the Ceres brand will phase out, and all operations previously under Ceres will now operate under the unified banner of SSA Marine.

Uffe Ostergaard said, "Operating as one, unified brand will allow us to take advantage of the extensive combined industry experience and shared best practices of both companies in service to our customers."

Carrix and its subsidiary SSA Marine are major independent operators of marine terminals worldwide, privately operating a network of more than 250 terminal facilities and rail yards with operations spanning the United States, Canada, Mexico, Central America, South America and Asia.
