Container vessel suffers engine room fire in Mozambique Channel

According to the Maritime Bulletin, the container vessel EM OINOUSSES suffered an engine room fire on the afternoon of January 19. The boxhsip was en route from Maputo, Mozambique to Mombasa, Kenya. The ship went NUC, was drifting and the engine room was sealed with fire fighting system activated, the Maritime Bulletin reports.
