ZIM, update of Emergency Bunker Surcharge

ZIM decided to update the EBS (Emergency Bunker Surcharge) as from August 1st, 2018 – till further notice, for FAK (Freight All Kind) cargo for the following trades:

  • Between the Mediterranean and North America & Central America & Caribbean base ports (except Canadian export): 60 USD per TEU
  • From Canada to Mediterranean base ports: 260 USD per TEU

Above EBS is additional to the applicable base freight charge, THC, bunker charges, security and PSS related charges which are all provided in ZIM website at  www.zim.com (U.S. trades are provided in www.boterates.com User: ZfreA6 Password: Access16!) as well as other charges for additional services, local charges and contingency charges.

For details regarding specific agreements, other commodities and other cargo types, such as reefer cargo, please approach ZIM local office.
