ZeroNorth has announced a new integration between its SMARTShip platform and the MRV Portal operated by ClassNK, one of Japan’s leading classification societies. The move aims to simplify and automate emissions reporting, offering shipowners and operators a more efficient path to regulatory compliance under the IMO DCS and EU MRV frameworks.
The SMARTShip platform, developed by ZeroNorth, is designed to enhance fleet performance by connecting ship and shore systems. By leveraging real-time data, SMARTShip delivers actionable insights that help improve operational efficiency while supporting compliance requirements.
With the new integration, users can now generate, validate, and approve emissions reports directly within the SMARTShip interface. Once approved by authorized personnel, the reports are automatically uploaded to the ClassNK MRV Portal, reducing manual input and the potential for errors.
The system has already been successfully tested on a selection of vessels and is now fully available to all users of the SMARTShip platform.
“Collecting, reporting, and verifying emissions data is a complex and time-consuming challenge, increasing the risk of inaccuracies and compliance issues”, said ZeroNorth CEO Søren C. Meyer.
