Yusen Logistics launches “Alternative Fuel” solution to cut emissions across all transport modes

Yusen Logistics Global Management has launched its new green solution, “Alternative Fuel”, designed to reduce greenhouse gas emissions across ocean, air, and land transport by utilizing sustainable, non-fossil fuels.

The initiative supports customers in cutting Scope 3 emissions and contributes to the creation of more sustainable supply chains.

In December 2024, Yusen Logistics introduced a digital platform to track and allocate GHG savings to customers based on the use of renewable fuels.

Initially applied to air freight services using Sustainable Aviation Fuel, the platform now also supports GHG savings allocation for ocean and land transport, offering a unified, multi-modal sustainability solution.

For land freight, Yusen Logistics uses low-emission fuels such as Hydro-treated Vegetable Oil to power its fleet in selected countries and regions.

This solution marks a significant step in Yusen Logistics’ broader commitment to decarbonizing global logistics and helping partners transition to greener supply chains.
