X-Press Feeders wins Marine Money 2024 East Leasing Deal of the Year

X-Press Feeders announced that its French leasing arrangement for six dual-fuel vessels has been named Marine Money’s 2024 East Leasing Deal of the Year.

In 2024, Eastaway France SAS, a subsidiary of X-Press Feeders, secured long-term financing exceeding US$280 million for the acquisition of six methanol dual-fuel vessels under a structured French leasing arrangement.

The deal, hailed for its strategic alignment with environmental goals and precise execution, involved navigating a range of legal and jurisdictional challenges.

The transaction was made possible through close collaboration with the French International Register Office, the French Maritime Administration, and a strong syndicate of financing partners, including Société Générale, Crédit Industriel et Commercial, BNP Paribas, Bank of America, DekaBank, KfW IPEX-Bank.

The deal supports the ongoing expansion of X-Press Feeders’ methanol-powered fleet and forms a central part of the company’s strategy to drive the transition toward low-carbon maritime operations.

Ofir Wilzig, Chief Financial Officer at X-Press Feeders, commented that this landmark transaction sets a new benchmark for sustainable vessel leasing, demonstrating how financial innovation and strategic alignment can deliver real-world environmental progress.
