WEC Lines restores direct Pakistan–Northwest Europe connection

WEC Lines has announced the reinstatement of a direct connection between Pakistan and Northwest Europe (NWC) main ports, starting from week 41 of 2025. The move follows the suspension of direct services from Port Qasim earlier this year due to geopolitical challenges between India and Pakistan.

From October 11, 2025, Karachi will be added to the weekly rotation, with the first call made by the M/V Kotka, voyage IP540A. The updated service will connect Karachi directly to NWC ports including Sines, Felixstowe, Rotterdam, Hamburg, Bremerhaven, Antwerp, Le Havre, and London Gateway. Outports will remain accessible via established transshipment hubs in the region.

WEC Lines said the return of the direct link strengthens trade connectivity between Pakistan and Europe, providing shippers with faster and more reliable options.
