Wärtsilä has entered into a five-year Lifecycle Agreement with Athens-based Alpha Gas, covering two LNG carriers equipped with Wärtsilä 34DF engines. The deal, booked in Q2 2025, aims to boost operational insight, availability, and maintenance cost predictability for the vessels.
Under the agreement, Wärtsilä will provide 24/7 remote expert support, advanced diagnostics, and proactive maintenance guidance to help minimize operating costs and avoid costly repairs. This tailored approach allows Wärtsilä to monitor vessel systems in real time and assist crews with quick fault resolution.
Henrik Wilhelms, Wärtsilä’s Director of Agreement Sales, highlighted the company’s commitment to customizing solutions to fit each customer’s unique needs, especially with the industry’s push towards net-zero emissions by 2050.
This latest contract complements a similar agreement signed in November 2024 for two additional Alpha Gas LNG carriers, now covering a total of four sister vessels: Energy Pacific, Energy Endeavour, Energy Integrity, and Energy Intelligence.
