Wan Hai Lines will expand its network with a new Far East to East Mediterranean direct service, branded as FM1.

The service will deploy vessels of 4,300–5,000 TEU capacity. The rotation includes: Shanghai – Ningbo – Nansha – Shekou – Port Klang – Jeddah – Aqaba – Sokhna – Alexandria – Izmit – Istanbul area, before returning via Sokhna, Jeddah, Port Klang, Shekou, and Shanghai.

The first sailing is scheduled for mid-September 2025.

Wan Hai said the FM1 service is designed to offer faster and more direct connections to meet rising customer demand between Asia and the East Mediterranean.
