Wan Hai has placed two new orders for additional container vessels to expand its fleet capacity. These ships are designed to be LNG/dual fuel-ready, supporting the carrier’s commitment to modern and adaptable maritime operations.

The Taiwanese carrier has contracted two different shipyards for these latest additions:

  • Huangpu Wenchong Shipbuilding: Wan Hai has ordered four ships of 6,000 TEU. This contract adds to the six vessels of the same class previously ordered by the company. These ships are scheduled for delivery in 2029 and 2030.

  • Shanghai Waigaoqiao Shipbuilding: The carrier has also signed for two larger vessels of 9,200 TEU.
