Wan Hai and Interasia revise NS5 service and launch TVS

Wan Hai Lines and Interasia Lines are set to introduce significant changes to their NS5 service from next month, while also launching a new service branded TVS, according to Alphaliner.

Under the revised NS5 configuration, Kawasaki will be replaced by Chiba in Japan. In addition, the calls at Taipei and Taichung will be removed, while new calls will be introduced at Xiamen, Shenzhen (Shekou), Guangzhou (Nansha) and Phuoc An in Vietnam.

Following the changes, the updated NS5 rotation will be: Tokyo – Yokohama – Chiba – Xiamen – Shenzhen (Shekou) – Guangzhou (Nansha) – Port Kelang – Singapore – Phuoc An – Shenzhen (Shekou) – Tokyo.

At the same time, Wan Hai and Interasia have launched the new TVS service to maintain connectivity for ports removed from the NS5 loop. The TVS service is operated by three vessels of around 1,900 TEU capacity.

According to Alphaliner, the TVS rotation will be: Kaohsiung – Taipei – Taichung – Ho Chi Minh (Cat Lai) – Port Kelang – Penang – Port Kelang – Hong Kong – Kaohsiung.

The service adjustments reflect the partners’ efforts to optimise regional coverage and maintain efficient connectivity across East and Southeast Asia.
