Vladmorrybport targets 700,000 TEU annual capacity by 2027

Vladmorrybport plans to increase its annual container handling capacity to 700,000 TEU by 2027, representing nearly 40% growth. Deputy General Director for Commercial Work Vyacheslav Kvashnin outlined the investment program driving this expansion.

“Expansion of container handling areas is part of our large-scale investment program, along with targeted technical re-equipment and optimization measures. We acquire new equipment (cranes, loaders, reach stackers and terminal tractors), install new and reconstruct existing railways, and plan to introduce advanced ship handling technologies,” said Kvashnin.

Thanks to phased implementation, including the commissioning of an 18,000-square-meter monolithic site in 2023, the port boosted capacity by more than 225,000 TEU in 2024. By 2027, another 200,000 TEU of capacity is expected. “Therefore, we are quite confident in the achievability of the stated plans,” Kvashnin added.

Alongside capacity growth, Vladmorrybport is enhancing service quality. Modernization efforts accelerate ship handling, improve cargo distribution, and expand off-dock terminal capacities to support express container train shipments.

The port has also upgraded its digital systems. Drivers can now use a mobile app to view routes and generate electronic passes, while forwarders and line representatives benefit from a new online system for coordinating dangerous goods.
