Veson and Cargill expand partnership to drive maritime digital transformation

Veson Nautical (Veson), a global firm in maritime data and freight management solutions, has expanded its long-standing partnership with American multinational food corporation Cargill to drive digital transformation in the maritime sector.

Through a Strategic Technology Agreement, Cargill’s Ocean Transportation business gains broader access to Veson’s suite of solutions, including its advanced data intelligence capabilities and AI-powered collaborative workflow platform, Shipfix.

Building on its successful use of the Veson IMOS Platform, Cargill aims to streamline its technology landscape while enhancing efficiency, sustainability, and innovation across its global shipping operations.

“As Veson has invested in building a comprehensive set of solutions over recent years, we are thrilled for Cargill to benefit, extending our longstanding partnership,” commented Sean Riley, Veson’s President and Chief Operating Officer. “The further work we are doing with Cargill highlights one of many ways we are partnering with our clients to propel the maritime industry forward.”

Beyond improving internal operations, a key driver of this collaboration is Cargill’s commitment to enhancing customer experience. As part of the partnership, Veson is working closely with Cargill to develop a customer-centric solution that integrates proprietary data, supplier insights, and customer information.

This approach strengthens Cargill’s ability—and that of the broader shipping industry—to make faster, data-driven decisions while ensuring compliance with evolving regulations, including those set by the International Maritime Organization and FuelEU initiatives.

“Veson is the ideal partner to deepen our collaboration, given our shared commitment to digital transformation, open teamwork, and complementary expertise,” mentioned Eric Aboussouan, Strategy and Digitalization Lead for Cargill’s Ocean Transportation business.

“They have set the benchmark for digital transformation in shipping, with their IMOS Platform leading the market. This partnership enables us to integrate our systems more effectively, delivering a unified platform that enhances visibility, efficiency, and control over freight procurement for our customers.”
