Vancouver Fraser Port Authority appoints new Vice President of Operations and Supply Chain

The Vancouver Fraser Port Authority announced that Captain Shri Madiwal has been appointed as Vice President of Operations and Supply Chain.

With immediate effect, the appointment follows a competitive global executive recruitment process.

Madiwal brings more than 30 years of experience in maritime operations and supply chain to the role. Since joining the Canadian port authority in 2019 as Director of Marine Operations and Harbour Master, he has made significant contributions to the organization and provided leadership on the delivery of key projects including Active Vessel Traffic Management and supply chain optimization.

Madiwal is a certified Master Mariner—the highest internationally recognized level of seafarer qualification available—and holds an MBA from Simon Fraser University. He also sits on the boards of Clear Seas and the International Sailors Society of Canada.

Madiwal has been acting Vice President of Operations and Supply Chain at the port authority since December 2023.
