Valencia port recorded traffic growth between January and July

Valencia port throughput increased by 4.28% between January and July. In July alone, the port handled 492,874 TEUs and a total of 3.26 million TEUs during the first seven months.

The July result marks a monthly rise of 6.88% compared with the same month last year, while the cumulative figure for January–July shows growth of 4.28%.

On a year-to-year basis, over the past twelve months, the terminals operated by the Valencia Port Authority moved 5.6 million TEUs, an increase of 8.43% compared with the same period the previous year.

By weight, APV’s docks processed 47.75 million tonnes in the first seven months of the year including fishing and ship supplies, down by 1.06% a decline largely due to a fall of just over 10% in the handling of dry bulk cargo.



Overall, Valenciaport continued in July the trend observed in recent months: growth in full export containers (+3.53%) and imports (+17.52%), while transshipment traffic declined (-2.23%).

With regard to Ro-Ro operations cargo moved on its own wheels such as truck platforms, lorries, and vehicles 8.37 million tonnes have been transported so far this year, with a total of 318,650 ITUs, representing a 3.65% increase.

As for rail transport, the cumulative figure for the year is close to 2 million tonnes specifically 1,929,762, up by 9.09% compared with the same period in 2024.

In passenger traffic, users of regular shipping lines (466,549) already outnumber cruise passengers (430,223) so far this year.
