The Port of Aarhus, Denmark’s largest commercial port, has appointed Ulrik Andersen as its new Chief Executive Officer, effective 1 May 2026.

Andersen brings a decade of experience as Municipal Chief Executive of Thisted Municipality and has prior involvement in the port industry, including board membership and serving as interim CEO of Port of Hanstholm. He has expertise in strategic development, senior leadership, and managing complex stakeholder environments.

Chair of the Board, Susanne Juhl, praised Andersen’s visionary leadership and ability to unify teams, emphasizing his suitability to drive the port’s continued development. Andersen succeeds Kåre Clemmesen, who served as interim CEO since December 2025.
