Trailer strike halts box movement in Bangladesh

The movement of containers to and from Bangladesh’s Chittagong port and depots remained suspended since Monday (21 October) morning as the Prime Mover Trailer workers have enforced strikes.

Shippers and off-dock owners say no outbound containers could be taken to the port for shipment due to the strike, while import goods laden boxes or empty boxes could not be brought out from the country’s prime seaport.
