Toll Group has been selected by Defence to deliver vital equipment, supplies, and support across Australia under the new $1.5 billion Defence Theatre Logistics (DTL) contract.
The agreement consolidates two existing contracts and will streamline the delivery of warehousing, national distribution, and retail store services across the Defence network. Covering 18 main sites and 38 support warehouses, the contract includes managing inventory, receiving, storing, inspecting, transferring, and issuing items such as vehicles and oversized stock.
Retail services will also be provided at selected Defence locations, enabling ADF members to order, transact, and collect items locally. Toll will manage the operation of a national distribution network connecting these sites with ADF establishments.
To support the contract, Toll will expand its workforce by about 800 additional staff during a phased 12-month transition starting this month.
