TCP, the company managing the Paranaguá Container Terminal, has appointed Jacky Song new chief executive officer as of August 2025. The incoming CEO brings more than two decades of international port sector experience, including leadership roles in China, Djibouti, Nigeria, and Brazil.
He first joined TCP in 2024 as Chief Commercial Officer, a year in which the terminal posted record growth of 24% and handled 1.56 million TEUs. Now at the helm, he has set a clear goal: to strengthen TCP’s position as Brazil’s most reliable logistics partner by expanding its intermodal connections and leveraging China Merchants Port Holdings’ global expertise.
Under his leadership, TCP will continue investing in efficiency, sustainability, and digitalization, with projects ranging from automated equipment to carbon-neutral energy solutions. The terminal already stands as South America’s largest hub for refrigerated containers and one of Brazil’s key maritime gateways, with 23 shipping services.
Looking ahead, the new CEO has emphasized building “a highly efficient logistics corridor across Brazil and South America,” while also reinforcing TCP’s role in tackling global climate challenges and supporting sustainable economic growth in the region.
