Tacoma terminals halt operations after fatality

All terminals in Tacoma, US remained closed on Monday, 9 October due to a fatality that occurred during Sunday night operations at a marine terminal in Tacoma.

The Northwest Seaport Alliance (NWSA), a marine cargo operating partnership of the ports of Seattle and Tacoma, said that normal operations will resume today, 10 October.

“We appreciate your understanding at this time and offer our deepest condolences to ILWU and the worker’s family and friends during this difficult time,” noted NWSA in a statement.
